The Big Draw AKA Art Fun Day - Pannett Art Gallery - Sunday 27 October 2019
Whitby Art Society members were at The Pannett Art Gallery, Whitby for The Big Draw. The theme this year was Halloween and Diwali, the Indian festival of light. It was well attended with children of all ages who were busy creating wonderful pieces of art, from pumpkins to fireworks and ghosts to dinosaurs. Talented members of W.A.S. inspired the children. They could chose to make books to fill with spooky pictures and scary stories, cardboard pumpkins, monsters and a variety of creatures and flowers from leaves. Altogether a spooktactular and successful day!
Eskvale Painting Group - Autumn Term 2019
Frank will be continuing his Eskvale Painting Group through the autumn. It will take place at Aislaby Village Hall from 2.00–4.00pm every Thursday starting from 12 Sept and ending on 28 November. That’s 3 months of tuition every week by our professional and very friendly mentors. The approximate cost will be £30.00. It will run very much like the summer group except that we meet in the afternoons to avoid dark nights and poor weather. If you would like to join the group (and it doesn’t matter what medium you work in, or your level of skill) please contact the Whitby Art Society website above. It’s a very sociable and busy afternoon. You can also get a cup of tea or coffee to help your work progress (20p).
